Where do I submit my visa application?

You may submit your application at the Canada Visa Application Centre. Applications may also be submitted to IRCC by using IRCC’s online application system (E-Apps).

Will I need to go in person to give my fingerprints and photograph each time I apply?

If you are submitting an application for a temporary resident visa, study and/or work permit, and you are biometrics required, you only need to give biometrics once every 10 years.

If you are submitting a permanent residence application, and you are biometrics required, you will need to give biometrics each time you apply.

Once I enrol biometrics, how long will be fingerprints be stored in the database?

As of July 31, 2018, biometrics are valid for ten years. If the applicant enrolled their biometrics in the past, they are valid for ten years from the time of enrolment. Validity of visa or permit cannot exceed the validity of biometrics. Permanent residence applicants will need to give biometrics with each application.

Your fingerprints will also be permanently deleted if you are granted Canadian citizenship within this 10-year period.

Do I need to submit biometrics for my visa application?

Effective 31 July 2018, nationals of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or any other country that requires biometric enrolment, who are applying for a visitor visa, study or work permit, or permanent residence, may be required to enroll biometrics and submit photographs at the Visa Application Centre. to verify if you are required to enroll biometrics, please click here.

Effective 31 December 2018 – nationals of Asia, Asia Pacific and the Americas will be required to enroll biometrics and submit photographs at the Visa Application Centre.
Is an appointment required for submitting biometrics at the Canada Visa Application Centre?

Effective 03 November 2018, prior appointment is mandatory for Biometric Enrolment at the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC) in Honduras. Depending on your nationality, you may already need to give biometrics.
Since July 31, 2018 – applicants from Europe, Middle East and Africa
Starting December 31, 2018 – applicants from Asia, Asia Pacific and the Americas

Please note that appointments are mandatory in order to enroll biometrics at the Visa Application Centre. A planned visit with a preferred time slot at the Visa Application Centre guarantees prompt service thus eliminating longer waiting time resulting in inconvenience.

Please note, for the sole purpose of scheduling an appointment TT Services will collect Personal Information from you. A consent form to this regard will be required.

What will happen after I submit my application?

Once you deposit your application at the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC), the staff will perform a completeness check based on IRCC requirements and will then submit your application on your behalf on the following business day.

Once the Canadian Visa Office has assessed your application they will make a decision and affix a visa counterfoil to your passport or otherwise issue you with a letter explaining why a visa could not be granted.

The Canadian Visa Office will then securely return your passport to the Canada Visa Application Centre who will inform you via your preferred method of communication. An update will also be provided on the Online Application Tracking System, when your passport is ready to be returned. You may then come to the Canada Visa Application Centre to retrieve your passport.

How can I track the status of my application?

The status of your application can easily be tracked by clicking on the “Track Your Application”.

How can I retrieve my passport?

To retrieve your passport, you have the choice of collecting your passport in person or through an authorized representative at the Canada Visa Application Centre

What documentation do I need to retrieve my passport?

If you are retrieving your passport in person, you must bring with you:

The tracking number provided to you when you deposited your application at the Canada Visa Application Centre
Your original National ID card or other official proof of identification containing a photograph

Will I be required to attend an interview at the Canadian Visa Office?

IRCC may require you to attend an interview at the Canadian Visa Office in which case either the Canada Visa Application Centre or the Visa Office will reach out to you, as well as notify you via the Online Application Tracking System.

Can the Canadian Visa Office ask me to provide additional documents or information?

Yes, the Canadian Visa Office may require you to submit additional documentation. An update will be made on the Online Application Tracking System and will be followed up with an email to ensure you have received the instructions. You will then be asked to submit the additional documentation to the Canada Visa Application Centre who will then submit it to the Visa Office on your behalf.
